At Turtle VBC, our mission is to empower young athletes through high-level volleyball training, character development, and a supportive team environment.
We are dedicated to helping players grow as competitors and as individuals—fostering resilience, leadership, and a lifelong love for the game. Through hard work, integrity, and community, we prepare our athletes to succeed both on and off the court.
MEET OUR COACH
Emily Young
Coach Emily brings elite experience, leadership, and passion to Turtle VBC. A standout athlete at the University of Southern California, she competed at the highest levels in both indoor and beach volleyball, earning multiple national championships, academic honors, and leadership roles, including team captain in 2014.
On the beach, she helped USC secure the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship in 2016 and represented the U.S. in international play across Europe. Indoors, she competed in four consecutive NCAA tournaments, including a Final Four appearance, and was a multi-year Pac-12 All-Academic honoree.
Her well-rounded background also includes youth sports, club volleyball with Sports Performance, and years of training with USA Volleyball High Performance. With a coaching philosophy rooted in growth, grit, and excellence, Coach Emily is dedicated to developing skilled, confident, and resilient athletes.
Raunnit Ginson
Coach Raunnit is a passionate and results-driven volleyball coach with a proven track record of developing competitive teams and empowering young athletes. With experience coaching at both Orange County Volleyball Club and United Volleyball Club, he brings strong leadership, strategic training, and a deep commitment to player growth and team culture.
A former varsity standout at Beckman High School, where he helped his team rank top 3 in the nation and go undefeated in league play, Coach Raunnit went on to qualify for Nationals in 2023 with United Volleyball Club. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Cal State Fullerton, while continuing to coach and mentor youth players.
Certified in NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and SafeSport trained, Coach Raunnit is known for his strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to motivate athletes to perform at their best. He brings both experience and energy to Turtle VBC—and is excited to help shape the next generation of volleyball talent.
stephen foster
Stephen is a highly experienced volleyball coach with a lifelong passion for the sport, both as a player and coach. With over five decades of involvement in volleyball, Stephen brings a deep understanding of team dynamics and player development. His career includes experience as a varsity setter, club player/coach, and head coach for both boys' and girls' volleyball at the middle school and high school levels.
Highlights:
Former varsity setter at Fountain Valley High School and Golden West College.
Played and coached in men’s open tournaments with USVBA.
Head coach and program director at Katella High School and University High School.
Extensive coaching experience with youth leagues such as USYVL and community recreation centers.
Recently served as JV Head Coach for Costa Mesa High School’s boys and girls teams through multiple seasons.
Stephen is known for his commitment to improving player skills and fostering a love for volleyball across all age groups.
Delaney Tate
Delaney is an accomplished collegiate volleyball player with experience competing at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. She began her collegiate volleyball career at the University of California, Riverside, where she played at the Division I level during the 2022–2023 season. She then continued her athletic journey at Azusa Pacific University, a competitive Division II program, where she has excelled on the court.
Delaney has earned several athletic honors, including:

All-Tournament Player at the Indiana Classic (2023)
Two-time nominee for Big West Player of the Week (2023)
Her dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit have made her a valuable asset to every team she's played on. Delaney balances her athletic commitments with academic excellence, pursuing an MBA while continuing to lead and compete at a high level in collegiate volleyball.
olivia ip
Olivia is a dedicated and high-achieving volleyball athlete with extensive experience at both the school and club levels. A right side hitter known for her leadership and consistency, Olivia has been a starter on varsity teams since 9th grade and currently serves as a team captain at City Volleyball Club.
Her volleyball journey includes:
Varsity Right Side Hitter at Polytechnic School (11th & 12th grade)
Varsity Starter at Arcadia High School (9th grade)
Starter and Captain at City Volleyball Club (2023–Present)

Explore Our Programs
Youth Starter
Our Youth Starter program is designed to introduce players to the sport of volleyball in a fun environment. The program is led by our experienced coach. Participants will learn the fundamentals of volleyball (passing, serving, setting, and hitting) and work on developing coordination and motor skills. The goal is to ensure our participants have an absolute blast playing the great team sport of volleyball while developing and learning the basics of the game.
This Program is designed for girls and boys at 6-12 years old. Each session is split into groups per grades. Participants will have one weekly 120-minute training day. No prior experience required.
Youth eLite
Our Youth eLite program is built for motivated players who have a foundation in competitive volleyball—through club or school teams—and are ready to take the next step in their development. This program bridges the gap between recreational play and elite-level competition by focusing on technical growth, game strategy, and consistent performance.
This Program is designed for girls and boys at 13-17 years old. Each session is split into skills development groups for tailored small group feedback and direct coaching. Participants will have one weekly 120-minute training day. Club or school teams experience required.
