Emily young

Emily brings elite collegiate and international experience to Turtle VBC. A former USC standout in indoor and beach volleyball, NCAA champion, and team captain, she is dedicated to developing confident, skilled, and resilient athletes through high-level training and leadership.

Cesar Contreras

Coach

Cesar brings over six years of coaching experience and a strong competitive background to Turtle VBC. A former NCAA Division I outside hitter, AAU Nationals gold medal coach, and Southern California club standout, he is known for his high-energy, player-first approach and commitment to building confident, high-performing athletes.

Henry is an experienced youth volleyball coach with both club and high school coaching experience. He has coached boys’ and girls’ teams at the club and high school levels, leading teams to tournament wins while focusing on strong fundamentals, mindset development, and on-court technical growth.

Lingli Chum-Schultz

Lingli is a former varsity and club volleyball team captain and libero with experience leading youth volleyball camps. She brings strong communication skills, leadership, and a positive, welcoming energy to every training session.

Donielle is a Cal Poly Pomona kinesiology graduate with experience in youth volleyball coaching, athletic training support, and club leadership. A former team captain and club president, she is passionate about developing confident athletes in a positive, inclusive environment.

Yao has over 20 years of volleyball experience and earned numerous tournament and league honors during his university career. His coaching style is positive and encouraging, helping athletes build confidence and strong fundamentals.
